With its emergency services program, CAP provides assistance to the US Air Force, California Office of Emergency Services, and other local, state, and national organizations. CAP missions include airborne and ground based search and rescue, disaster relief, and homeland security. Both pilots and non-pilots are trained in a variety of specialties as aircrew, ground team members, and incident command staff.
